... But here I go again: a lot has happened since my last post! September and October were great months, but they have been very busy.
My co-op classes have kept me very busy, week after week writing assignments pile up. I'm enjoying my art class, even though everybody is younger (and shorter) than me.
I also got a job, babysitting for the church and that is so fun, especially getting paid! haha!
My foster sister had a baby and she is too cute. I got to hold her for about ten minutes and I didn't want to let her go. On the car ride home I kept thinking about her and it was like I was melting, right there in my seat. I almost cried at how beautiful she was, at only five days old.
My brother and his girlfriend got engaged and I'm so happy for them! I was surprised, but extremely happy when they asked me to take their engagement pictures! It was such a great experience.
I went to my churches fall retreat last weekend and that was amazing. I grew even closer in my relationship with God and it feels so good.
So, tonight, I am having a party. Not just any party, a costume party. The excitement has been building for three weeks and the next seven hours are going to be the hardest to wait for the party :) I'm going to be Wilma Flintstone and I'm going to party! hahaha, it'll be so fun. Well, that's all for now. Thanks for reading!
Love, Callie
I was a small town girl then I moved to be a missionary. I loved doing God's work and seeing the changes that it made in people. I am now back and I'm missing it more than ever! I love God with all my heart and soul and I would love to tell you about him ♥

My story
This is only the first chapter, I am writing more. I hope you guys like it!
----------------------------------------
Beep, beep, beep- I could hear the familiar sound of my alarm. I hesitantly opened my eyelids to glance at my clock. It flashed 8:08. Oh shoot! I was supposed to be at work at 8:15. I was never going to make it. I hopped out of bed and threw on deep blue denim shorts and my favorite purple shirt. I rushed out of my messy room, down my ladder and ran down the steps putting on some denim flats.
“Bye Leila!” I shouted to my aunt. We lived with our young aunt, Leila. She was my mother’s sister. My parents were missionaries in Africa. We lived in Dallas, Texas.
I tossed on my over-the-shoulder bag and broke into a run out the door.
I ran down to my bike and pedaled as fast as I could. I was going to make it in time. I made it to work by 8:13; my family -I and my two sisters, Jane and Lily- owned the little coffee shop where I worked. It was called “Café Coffee”. I pushed open the glass door that made the bell ring; as I walked through I inhaled the scent of coffee beans. Oh how I loved that scent. Jane was standing at the counter to my left. Her long wavy blonde hair was up in a tight ballet bun with five bobby pins in it. Jane was nineteen.
She had a look of disapproval. “Liz, you’re late.” She said in her calm, quite voice.
“Nope, I am actually right on time” I winked at her. Just then Lily turned the corner holding my barista apron. Lily had light brown hair and was tan. She was sixteen. Lily was a ballerina. She walked over to the counter on her tip-toes.
“I thought you weren’t going to be able to wake up this morning!” she said as I put my apron on “You were so deep in sleep it looked like you were dead”
“I was just so tired last night!” I yawned
“Oh, well, I have no idea why that would be!” Lily said sarcastically. I smiled; I had been up ‘til two reading “The secret life of bees”
“I wanted to finish it!” I retorted. Jane was busy flittering away, fixing a customer’s latte. So, I decided it would be a good time to secretly fix myself a caramel frappuccino. Jane was very strict about using the shops ingredients, but I was tired. And I really wanted a caramel frappuccino!
I looked out over our little coffee shop. The walls were teal. And the shop had dark chocolate brown chairs all over. I loved the way our shop looked; I was the one who got to decorate. On break I would always go and sit in one of the chairs, they were so comfy.
Just then I was alarmed by the bell on the door. A tall, lean boy with blonde hair walked through the door. It was Jane’s boyfriend. He walked over to the counter. “Excuse me, miss?” he said. Jane was faced the other way.
“Yes, I’ll be right with you sir.” She said as she was swinging around to take his order. Once she saw him, she laughed. “Hi, there” She said with a giggle. He leaned over the counter to give her a short kiss on the lips.
“Ugh. Enough of that” I said as he leaned to kiss her again.
“Hello Liz” he said in a smiley voice.
“Oh, hi Peter” I said. Peter and Jane had been going out for three years. They were disgustingly lovey dovey.
“When is your break?” Peter asked Jane. She looked at him with hesitant eyes.
“Um, well, it’s in three hours, but...” She looked down at the latte she was putting a lid on
“But?” Peter asked
“But I have plans” she said, still unsure. Peter looked at her with questioning eyes. Jane always spent her breaks with Peter.
“Oh” Peter said “What are you going to do?” he asked his voice still cheery.
“I… Um… I’m going to lunch with…” she hesitated “with James” She bit her lip. Peter’s face turned red.
“James?! As in James Smithson? I thought you were over that guy!” He checked behind him to make sure no one else was in the shop.
“I am!” she shouted, shocked “He has been in Spain for a whole year and he just got back. So he asked me to have lunch with him and I agreed.”
“Okay…” he growled “I will see you later, Jane” He walked out the door and the bell rang wildly. Jane muttered a bad word under her breath and walked into the back room.
“Whoa” Lily said in a low voice “that got ugly fast”
“I know” I said with surprise ringing in my voice “at least Peter left before it got worse” They weren’t usually fighting, but Jane and James had gone out before Jane and Peter did and Peter didn’t like it that Jane kept in contact with James.
The rest of the day went pretty fast. I made blueberry muffins and I made a cappuccino. I looked up at the clock “Twelve!” I was relieved; I got to have a break at twelve.
I grabbed my tuna sandwich out of the fridge and grabbed my frappuccino. I went to go sit down on one of the big, comfy brown chairs and relax. I looked around, I loved to people watch. Lily was at the counter making a hot chocolate. Just then; Jane came in the door, back from her lunch with James.
“Hmmm… How was it?” Lily asked. The customer she was fixing the hot chocolate for seemed to be waiting for the answer, too.
“Um, it was nice, I guess” she looked down.
“Oh” I said.
“It would have been better if Peter hadn’t made me feel so guilty” I heard her mutter as she put her apron on.
Nobody said anything until closing at six. I think everybody was probably was thinking about Peter and Jane. Oh the drama.
Leila had dinner on the table when we got there. It smelled really good.
“Mmmm… Leila, what is that?” I called into the kitchen.
“Sweet and sour chicken” She called back. I loved Leila; she was twenty-five. She had long dark brown hair and pale skin, just like me. “It will be ready in 10 minutes”
I raced up the stairs in our house up to my little attic room. I pulled down my ladder and climbed up. I didn’t have a huge room, but it wasn’t cramped. I had windows streaming in the last bit of light before the sunset. My room was always meant to be a room, never an attic. My room was messy. I needed to keep it clean so it wouldn’t look so small.
I plopped down on my full bed and started thinking. I wonder… What if James likes Jane still? Would Jane pick James over Peter? Hmmm...
I was going insane. Pure and simple.

Chicken Wraps
so, lately I started eating healthier and it has been paying off! We decided we would do a little experiment, we are each going to get our own budget and we are going to shop, cook and clean up our own food. So today I made chicken wraps, they were so delicious!
---------------------------------------
Makes 2 wraps
1 chicken breast
olive oil
light ranch
1 medium sized tomato, diced
your favorite kind of lettuce or spinach
2 whole wheat tortillas
Slice chicken breasts into 8 strips
Put burner on medium-high heat and drizzle frying pan with olive oil
Put chicken slices in and season with all-purpose seasoning, salt and lots of black pepper.
Cook until golden-brown
Now, lay down your tortillas and put lettuce and diced tomatoes on
and then put in 4 chicken strips and drizzle with light ranch.
Enjoy! =)

Karis =)
Hehehe, so I had a really good week! My friend Karis came to visit me, because her mom was going to be coming up near us anyways at a convention. We had a lot of fun, we went swimming every day (it's sooooo hot outside!), we went shopping and we went to the movies... We had a really good time =)
I also went to a new grocery store here yesterday and it was utterly fantastic! It made me appreciate food more! which I know sounds kind of crazy, but it was amazing. They had smoked salt that smelled great, Colombian coffee beans that also smelled great, beautiful fish, delicious strawberry-pinapple-banana juice, and other fantastic stuff.

Over the weekend
We were pretty busy over the weekend, it started off early Saturday morning at 5:00 and we drove five hours to get to my brothers apartments so we could sign the lease. He got a great place with just enough space for him, near the pool and the laundry room. We just got back last night...
Lately I have been reading the Twilight books, if you liked the movies, you will LOVE the books. I definitely recommend them!!!

Mornings
It's a very early morning this morning, its not even light out and I am just about to get it the car for a roadtrip. Though, it doesn't sound very appealing right now. Last night me and brother Ryan had a "Date": Casey is gone to camp, My parents were out, so we decided that we would go to a movie, we went to see "Ramona and Beezus" and it was one of the best family movies I have seen in a long time. I highly recommend it! And even Ryan liked it too.

Yesterday we had some great family time =) since one of my brothers is going to camp today and my other brother is moving, we decided we'd go do something before all of that happened.
We also had to get some new stuff for Ryan's new apartment, so I got to go on a shopping trip! We had to hurry cause we got away to the store at 5:00 and we were gonna eat shortly. So we rushed through academy and walmart and I escaped at walmart to look at clothes while my mom and Ryan were looking at dishes. I got three shirts (all super cute!) =)
Then we went to go have our family time... We had a little bit of trouble finding a place to eat, we were gonna eat at Double Daves, but that was a bit of an adventure (about an thirty minute long adventure!) until we found out that Double Daves was CLOSED!!!!!! so we went to amazing jakes, which however only had 10 minutes left of eating time, so we went to tgif, which was completely full. Needless to say, it was very difficult! We finally found El Fenix, so delicious! I had a wonderful sour cream chicken enchilada, a puffy beef taco and a lemon ice box pie... Really filling, but I enjoyed it =)

At the moment I am currently enjoying a lemon and making a sour face =O
About a week ago I went down to visit a friend and we went down to the river... well, I wore sunscreen on my face, but nowhere else and we were there for a lot longer than I expected and I got a really bad sunburn and now I am peeling(no fun!)
I had a good day today, we got some food and went down to the park for a picnic, then me and my great brother went swimming and we came back and ate a delicious dinner with pork tenderloin, potatoes and salad. Sounds like a pretty good day, huh?
There is a delicious dark chocolate we found at this little grocery store, it's called "madagascar chocolate"... it has this great fruity flavor, but it isn't too dark, try it if you get the chance.

Food =)
Mmmm.... so tonight we had steak, corn and asparagus, delicious, right? I tried a new way of tenderizing steak tonight, after looking at several articals, I found that nearly everybody said cover the steak in completely in salt and keep it in a bag "marinating"... then right before you cook it, rinse off all the salt. So, I followed all the steps and end up with a ridiculously salty steak, I guess i didn't do it right, lol. Now the smell of fresh brownies is wafting through the air, I haven't had a brownie in a really long time... So i'm excited =)

I love relaxed days. You wake up late, maybe watch some tv or play a game, eat leftovers for lunch and stay in your pajamas all day =)
I don't get what the big deal is with boys and video games, my brothers have been playing "Modern Warefare 2" a lot. It's almost like it's their instict to know how to shoot a guy down or how to get completely consumed with this game.
Thanks for reading... will post again later <3
